ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Malakai Schuhart
Malakai Schuhart has lived in Springfield, MO his whole life and loves the midwest. He has a great deal of knowledge about specific subjects such as dinosaurs and animals of any sort. He enjoys video games and tinkering with and repairing Nerf guns. He comes from a very large family of 5 brothers and sisters and his mother. Through the years, he has grown in his artistic skills as well as his social skills. Art is one of Malakai’s great passions. He has used a large variety of different creative mediums. He is looking forward to working with airbrushing and 3D Printing in the near future. Malakai is an artist at Art Inspired Academy. AIA offers the opportunity for individuals with and without disabilities to participate in creative arts classes such as theatre, movement, music enrichment and art. They provide inclusive classes in a community setting that collaborates with existing programs and provides support for individuals with disabilities. At Art Inspired Academy, they provide support based on an individual’s abilities. Participants express themselves through artistic experiences while working on goals to improve communication, motor skills, social skills, self-control and confidence.
